Creating Knowledge VI has started!

Today, in beautiful, sunny Bergen, the event finally is started.  The conference cite is Scandic Bergen City Hotel:

During the first day, the delegates attended Keynotes, Panel sessions and group sessions to debate the big questions in Information Literacy:

  • We need to create knowledge from the information that exists
  • Access to information is easy
  • Transforming information into knowledge is key
  • Students are a diverse group – assessment of their knowledge need to take this into account
  • Because; assessment matters whether we like it or not
  • Learning should be the focus, not content
  • Get IL-skills into course design – the libraries cannot do wonders on their own

There will be more from the conference in the following.
